STS has been a member of the Association for Theological Education in South East Asia (ATESEA) since 1989. The BTh and DipTH were given accreditation by the above theological association in 1990; and the accreditation for MDiv and BD was obtained in 2000. Subsequently STS was recognized as an approved centre for study of MTheol degree under SEAGST.
