Master of Theology [MTheol]
  • BD or its equivalent.
  • At least 2 or 3 years of practical experience in church work.
  • The minimum TOFEL score is 173 (500 paper-based) or overall band scores 5 for IELTS taken not more than 2 years before admission.
  • Pass entrance exam
Master of Ministry [MMin]
  • A degree in theology, or equivalent, with 5 years christian ministry experince
Graduate
Master of Divinity [MDiv]
  • A church member.
  • A recognised university degree.
Master of Theological Studies [MTS]
  • A church member.
  • A recognised college or university degree.
Undergraduate
Bachelor of Divinity [BD]
  • A church member of 19 years of age or above.
  • Form 6 (STPM), A level pass and above.

Bachelor of Theology [BTh]
  • A church member of 19 years of age or above.
  • Form 5 (SPM), Grade 3 and above, or (after 2001) 6 passes including bahasa malaysia in one exam with 3 credits.
Diploma in Theology [DipTh]
  • A church member of 19 years of age or above.
  • Form 5 with 4 SAP subjects and above, or (after 2001)
  • 5 passes including 2 passes with credits in one exam.
Diploma in Pastoral Counseling (Dip. PC) & Certificates 1 & 2 in Pastoral Counseling
  • A Baptized church member of 19 years of age or above
  • Form 5 and above
Certificate of Theological Studies [CTS]
  • A church member of 19 years of age or above.
  • Form 5 , with 4 SAP subjects and above.
    or
  • A church worker (evangelist or pastor) with at least two years of ministerial experience.
  • A certificate from a two to four-year bible training institution.
    Form 3 (SRP) and above.

Short Term Mission Training
  • A baptised christian age 17 or above.
  • Form 5 (SPM) or above.
Certificate of Church Ministry [CCM]
  • A christian.
Diploma ini Church Ministry [DipCM]
  • A christian.
  • Complete CCM programme.
Family Ministry General Certificate
  • Student spouse.
Certificate of attendance for senior citizens
  • Open to senior citizens and persons interested in the ministry with senior citizens.
Requirements for graduation/receipt of certificate

1.Successful completion of courses with grades as required by the seminary.

  • MTheol requires four areas of concentration and a thesis with an average of 80%
  • MMin requires 30 credit hours and an average of 80%
  • MDiv requires 98 credit hours and an average of 80%.
  • MTS requires 65 credit hours and an average of 80%
  • BD requires 136 credit hours and an average of 80%.
  • BTh requires 136 credit hours and an average of 75%.
  • DipTh requires 132 credit hours and an average of 70%.
  • Diploma in Pastoral Counseling requires 42 credit hours and a minimum average of 65%
  • CTS requires 65 credit hours and an average of 65%.
  • Short Term Mission Training requires the completion of a 3 month course.
  • CCM requires 16 credit hours and a minimum average of 60% in every course taken.
  • DipCM requires CCM plus 16 credit hours or a total of 32 credit hours.

2.Faculty approval of Christian character.

3.Satisfactory completion of field education program as required by the seminary.

4.Satisfactory completion of the research paper (MDiv, BD).

5.Full payment of fees. A student with outstanding debts to the seminary cannot be allowed to graduate.

Deadline for application

The Academic year begins in early January. Therefore, the last date for submission of application is 1st November of each year.

Married-Student Housing

Accomodations for guest are available on campus, STS provides housing facilities for retreats, conference, camps and seminars. Rates and other information may be obtained from the office.
